There are no towns in NZ with a population bigger than 50,000 (the definition of a city in NZ) the largest town beginning with S is Stoke in Wellington, population around 15,000.
NZ has a early morning ceremony and a midday ceremony. NZ saved a little town (LE Quesnoy) in France from the Germans in WW1 so that little town celebrates it and has even donated a small part of their town to NZ. Noone else really cares. And: in AUSTRALIAN history???? That is an outrage.
Television was not "invented" in NZ, it was introduced into NZ in the early 1960's.

Animals (or plants) are considered native to NZ (or whatever country) if they are not found elsewhere. That is they are natural inhabitants. Kiwi and Tuatara in NZ, Wallaby and koala in Aus, Ostrich and lion in S Africa etc.
