Well, it's not just ONE word, but "out of this world" is sometimes used to describe "cool" things.
"Outstanding" might also work, but it's a bit older.
"Old school" can also be used to refer to something cool, but that subject must also be a bit antiquated.
Also, if might not really be an adjective so much as a reaction, but cool discoveries online are sometimes met with the response "OMGWTFBBQ!!!1" or some other OMG variation.
