To be more certain, a person may want to test again at the 6 month period.

Antibodies can take up to 90 days to develop to detectable levels. If a person had any exposure to HIV+ fluids(blood, semen, vaginal fluid, breast milk) within the 90 days prior to testing, the HIV test would not be accurate.
