The contraceptive pill is a very reliable method of preventing pregancy.
HOWEVER, being on the pill will not protect you from venereal diseases. You should probably continue to use condoms if you are on the pill unless you are completely satisfied that your sex partner is healthy.
NOTHING is TOTALLY safe EVER.
Pills do not cause diseases. They also do not protect you from diseases. This is why condoms are inportant, they are the only contraceptive to protect you from Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs). Be safe, get tested, and know your partner's history.
I don't think there are any contraceptive pills for males. A pill intended for females would have no effect for a male. No method is 100% safe, but a condom is fairly good. -------------------------------------------------------------------- O_o dude are you saying that you are a man that can get pregnant?
Contraceptive pills, if taken correctly are very, very safe, and the odds of getting pregnant while taking them is really, really small whatever else she's doing.
A gay woman may want to use contraceptive pills to regulate her monthly hormones to avoid mood swings or other physical problems. She may also want to know she is safe from pregnancy even if she is ever unlucky enough to be raped.
Well I guess it better because you don't have to take pills every day or forget to take them...well with the shot itz 99.9% because itz safe and it won't get you pregnant
Yes. All brands of contraceptive pill increase your risk of getting blood clots and certain types of cancer. Although the risk is very small, if you have already had one of these ailments or you have a family history of these illnesses (for example stroke), it would be unwise to take the contraceptive pill and put yourself more at risk of having these illnesses. Your doctor will be able to advise you on whether it is a safe methode of contraception for you.
Of course! When i was having my baby i was prescibred to take Estrogen Pills, the hormone injection helped me alot. Sarah,
If you missed a contraceptive pill then sometimes it is recommended to take two pills in one day. Taking the two pills at least 10 hours apart should not be a problem. Taking them closer together could make you a little nauseous, and you do not want to throw up after taking the pills. If you want to take regular contraceptive pills as emergency contraception, you might take 2-4 at once. If it has been more than 24 hours since your last pill, use a second method of contraceptives anytime you have intimate for the next 7 days. They are both safe but I would say pills because you can get diseases through injections but taking too many pills can be fatal, I would rather take pills but it's really up to you because you might be responsible enough to take the right amount of pills at the right time but you could have an injection if you wanted to.
You don't write what pills so I just assume you mean birth control pills and there is always a risk since they are not 100% safe.
I would talk to your doctor. Better safe than sorry
