January in my opinion. It isn't as crowded.

Since winter in the Southern Hemisphere starts on June 21, I'd vote for July. The first day of summer is December 21, so January might not be such a good choice.
January
July indeed. Mid of the winter. January is summer in Chile and there is no snow left in the ski resorts with an average temperature of 30 Celsius in Santiago for January.
If you want cold weather and a lot of new snow, July. Many mountains in Chile are snow covered all year.
July, because it is about mid-winter in chile.
July, Because when we have summer they have winter.
July, because they are in the southern hemisphere the seasons are opposite.
The snow season in Chile begins in late June and ends about the middle of October. July or August would be great month to go skiing in Chile.
July. As you know the United States which lies in the northern hemisphere has summer in July. However, Chile is in the southern hemisphere and receives summer in January while the United States has winter.
January. It does not snow in July.
July is the better month for skiing in Chile. South of the equator, the seasons are reversed. July and August are cold months and January and February at hot months. It has to do with the tilt of earth's axis. In the northern hemisphere, above the Tropic of Cancer, the earth is tilted towards the sun in July and August, making it summer. However, in the Southern Hemisphere, below the Tropic of Capricorn, the earth is tilted away from the sun in July and August, making those months wintertime - especially in places such as Chile and Argentina.

In July. Because it's different in the southern hemershphire. hahaha that's wrong it is a trick question you wouldn't want to go there for skiing because it is always warm!!!! you might think... but that's actually true! Actually it is NOT a trick question! There are at least 15-20 ski resorts in Chile! Apparently the previous person has not skiied there! Skiing in Chile is as good as the Alps or the Rockies!
