It IS in a war right now. It is the Mexican War on Drugs, paid for by the United States but fought by the Mexican police and army to fight several drug cartels trying to smuggle illegal drugs into the United States. Since December 2006, when this war was declared by Mexican president Francisco Calderon, more than 60,000 people have died due to the conflict.
It is doubtful the USA will enter another world war anytime soon. The operations in Iraq and Afghanistan still need to be resolved. Other countries really do not want a world war and neither does the USA.
it was asking Mexico to attack U.S and Germany promised to help regain some of Mexico's lost territory (Texas, New Mexico, etc) google it for better details *************** Germany feared that America would soon enter the war (World War I) and it knew that Mexico was still upset about its loses during the Mexican War. So German promised Mexico if it attacked America , if it entered the war, then Germany would help Mexico Financially and reward it by giving back all re-conquered land in New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona.
Well the most famous war with Mexico was to get the land of what is now Texas. So if we didn't have that war with Mexico there would be no Texas.
Gallifrey probably won't come back anytime soon since it was destroyed in the Time War...
A war in Mexico would be under the command of the military chief of staff of Mexico with the President as Commander in Chief. The military process in Mexico is quite similar to the system in the US.
A provocation to start a war, as Mexico had already warned the US that annexation would mean war (it did; and Mexico lost).
annex mexico
northern command
The U.S knew if it wanted to make Texas a state Mexico would start a war.
Mexico would destroy Chile with overwhelming force. Mexico's military strength and experience is not in comparison with Chile. Not to mention that if Chile brought the war close to our borders, the US Navy would annihilate them.
Mexico considered Texas as part of its own territory. All the history between the Republic of Texas and Mexico was fraught with disagreements and conflict. Having Texas as part of the US, however was too much to bear for Mexico. The situation soon became a war between the USA and Mexico.
