Moulin Rouge ( lit. Red Mill) is a rather heavy-going drama that I think was about the artist Toulouse Lautrec. One of the characters would have to effect a back problem-not a good idea for juvenile actors. I don"t think it would be a good choice. I am not even aware of High School productions of this one. It had a very catchy theme song- but that is not the entire tale! Many a movie has had a theme song totally unrelated to the plot. ( More- Mondo Cane Raindrops- Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid)
There are many medians in which one can watch Come What May by Moulin Rouge, the most common and user friendly would have to be Youtube, Hulu, or Vimeo.
"Moulin rouge" means "Red mill." It was named after the red mill that is a part of the building. At the Moulin Rouge the audience enjoyed a meal while watching dancers. Audience members could even receive lap dances.
The Moulin Rouge is where the now famous can-can dance first originated, and was the inspiration for the establishment of cabarets all over Europe. The Moulin Rouge also helped make French artist Toulouse-Lautrec, who painted their advertising posters, famous. The club has been providing entertainment since 1889 and is still a famous and popular attraction today.
The Moulin Rouge is located in the Butte Montmarte neighborhood, which is sort of best described as the half way point between street level Paris and the top of Monmarte. Although it wouldn't exactly be classified as seedy, it's not really one of Paris's nicer neighborhoods either. It's safe enough for one to walk from the Metro station to the Moulin Rouge but it would still be wise to take precautions in securing personal belongings from the happy hands of pick pockets before venturing onto the streets in the area. These days, the Moulin Rouge still does its revue a couple of times nightly, mostly to the accolades of tourists. If you want to see the show, book early. It tends to sell out well in advance. For entertainment reservations only, be prepared to pay between $110-$125 American per person. If you're interested in enhancing your experience with the available dining options, it will set you back approximately $180-$220 American per person, depending on which of the menus you select. It's also worth noting that the Moulin Rouge is not the only revue of its type on the block. There are actually several Cabaret type theaters in the area, so if you have trouble getting a reservation at the Moulin Rouge but really want to see this type of show, try one of the neighboring venues.
If you mean the movie from 2001: The MPAA rating in the USA is PG-13 for sexual content. In the UK it is rated 12 The rest of the ratings are below. If you mean the movie from 1952 it was not rated. If you mean the actual Moulin Rouge in Paris. From looking at the website the shows appear to be adult only as they contain nudity. There is also a club venue there which would also be adults only. So not the place to bring the kids on a trip to France, but great for a group of adult aged friends.
