Not likely. More probably it's one or more of your wheels need balancing. If someone tagged a curb with some force, this can cause one of your wheels to be bent and out of balance. Any rotating part on your car can cause shaking if it is damaged or unbalanced. The more mass the item has or the more out of balance it is, the more pronounced the shaking will be. Also the speed of the shaking will coincide with the speed of the item out of balance. If more than one item is out of balance and they rotate at different speeds, the shaking will vary from none to maximum then back through none as they create harmonics in your car.
