no there two different body styles
The engine oil drain plug is located at the lowest point on the engine usually found on the very bottom of the oil pan.
The rear plugs will have to be reached from underneath. The engine will need to be unbolted from the motor mounts (while being properly jacked up) and leaned forward. There is a special wrench used to reach up and get to the plugs at this point.
My '01 Monte had this issue. Remove inside door panel. Trace the thin metal rods to the point at which it's binding (verify by operating the lock mechanism). Make SLIGHT bends until it moves freely at the point of contact (only a few millimeters of clearance is needed). Check operation before you re-assemble the door panel.
They are hard to see but are right where the block meets the oil pan. One nice thing is they point straight down so it makes less of a mess when draining.
Quick answer....anything is possible. Detailed answer. Think about what that would require. Your 3800 series sits in your engine block "sideways." This effects your engine mounts, your computer mounts, your firewall, your drivetrain, your....and the list goes on and on. If you're putting a small block in your Monte then you'll have to put in RWD. You'll need a new front axle, you'll have to find a rear axle that fits your car. You'll need a new transmission. You'll need a new shifter. You'll have to drastically modify the underbody of the car to get a driveshaft in there. You'll have to.... Am I making my point yet? You would end up putting so much money into this car it'd be cheaper to just buy a late 80's Monte and drop your small block in there. Your engine mounts are already there and your driveline is already there. So is it possible....yes, but only because anything is possible.
Hi, I just replaced the flasher relay on my wife's 2005 Monte Carlo. The flasher relay is not a traditional relay in the sense that it actually is integrated into the emergency flashers button on your instrument panel, above the ignition. The part cost $45 at the dealership, and was a bit tricky to install. You'll have to remove several screws that hold the instrument board in place. It's also a pain in the butt to remove the actual flasher relay, once you get to that point.
There will be 4 Oxygen sensors and they ALL are mounted in the exhaust system. 2 near the point where the manifold connects to the headpipe and two more typically after the catalytic converter. The first two are typically the only ones to give trouble. Replace them both at the same time and wait until the engine is cool. Otherwise it's almost a certainty that you'll burn yourself.
Monte Solaro is the highest point on the island of Capri.
No, unfortunatley it will not.

The engine oil drain plug would be found at the lowest point of the engine oil pan.
Check the stop light switch on the brake pedal. The problem is with the turn signal switch. The only cure is to replace the turn signal switch which is in the steering colum. This runs about $600.00 . This happens in 1995 to 1999 Monte Carlo's. Somtimes you can put your turn signal on to left or right then back to center and brake lights will work until you use your turn signal again. I have this problem as we speak the cheap and quick fix is to pull the turn signal in to the point right before it clicks on your high beams during stopping. After awhile it will become second nature but you will realize you keep doing even in diffrent cars.
