A colonial costume may be hard to find. But thankfully, there are a few online stores that carry them. I suggest looking at https://www.costumesontheweb.com
I have 3 masked and the full costume. Very rare and its hard to find complete.
You can find every costume you like on the internet. Try looking at websites such as ebay or Amazon. You could also look at online halloween stores to find your different costume that would be hard to find in the shops. You could also create the costume yourself by playing around with materials and using old costumes and modifying them.

It's a rather classic costume, being dressed as a horse; the media, however, has probably over-played its effectiveness and frequency of use. Most, like you say, would find it hard to wear for too long.
a dog in a costume whats so hard about that
I don't know what "Penlope" is but look at every Halloween costume store in your region. There has to be something at the store or else your not looking hard enough.
Go to the costume/dress section of the clothing store and look really hard!!
It would not be hard, especially if you are a farang(foreigner).
Well...considering that Jacob Black's wolf was made using CGI Technology...it might be hard to find a sewing pattern for it. Plus, it would have to be a huge costume, with like a couple pounds of fur attached and that would make it a bit uncomfortable for someone to wear.
hard
There is! Go to your local Target or Wal-Mart! Once you are there go to the kids costume section. Find the cheesiest costume you can find. Then on Halloween night wear the costume and go out with the children. Find a Power Ranger walking around and pull him into the bushes. Steal his custome and leave him with your dumb one! Trust me! It works! I do it every year! Or, you can go out and ask Tommy how the heck he became a Power Ranger. That works too, he is just a little hard to find!
United States didn't set any national costume. their national costumes are native.
