NO. Hedgehogs are insectivores and will not kill a chicken under any circumstances. Chickens usually roost off the ground so to start with, a hedgehog could not reach the roosting chicken when it is at it most vulnerable even if it wanted to. Hedgehogs are also much smaller than a chicken and far slower than any bird of any species, no, your chickens have nothing to worry about when there are hedgehogs about.
Actually, depending on the ecosystem and the abundance of food hedgehogs in the wild do indeed adapt to eat groudnesting bird eggs and their vulnerable young. If a chicken coop is placed in a biome where the hedgehogs traditional foodsources are depleted your chicks in the coop could very well be wiped out in one encounter. One would suggest a secure hedgehog barrier to protect the young at night when they are confined and most vulnerable.

∙ 9y agoit is unlikely for a dog to eat a hedgehog.The hedgehog is covered in spikes and will curl into a ball when threatened. Any animal that tries to eat or pick it up will get hundreds of spikes stabbing their mouth. Hedgehogs are just too much hassle to eat so most animals ignore them.
