Pitbulls, as with any dog can be good or bad companions. I have owned two and both have been around other dogs with no problems. My roommates had a black lab and the other was a rotweiler. We never had any problems or fights with them but again it all goes back to how the owner raised the dog. Mine was raised around other dogs, kids, and a lot of people to play with. This, in my opinion made them less aggressive because they were not isolated and were comfortable around others.
Pitbulls are great dogs, don't get caught up in the bad wrap they bring with them.
That is a yes and a no.It depends on the individual dogs. Each dog is an individual, and though breed tendancies need be considered, ultimately the dogs temperment alone can be the ''deciding factor''.
I have kept a pit bull and a German shepherd dog at the same time. They were of opposite gender, and the only dogs in my home. They did fine.My German shepherd was a female,my pitty a male. They were both very sound in temperment.Well trained from the get go.So yes, its ''possible''.Same genders can be housed together, under supervision with both males or both females altered.
Pit bull terrier's are very ''gamey dogs'' and can have same sex agression in some of the lines. These dogs were bred from fighting stock,dogfighting,bear/bull baiting was the 'original purpose' for this breed. This is a very controversial topic so I'm not getting into dog fighting here. Most pit bulls have SOME dilution of this instinct, unless you are getting your pitty from a proven game kennel(fighting dog stock),wich increases the risk of interdog agression.I would advise you to NOT get a gamey pit bull if it is in the home with another dog/small animal. Most pit bulls are great pets, and are very good with people. They can be lap dogs and very sweet. They can get cancer/tumors and metabolic disease so be wary of health issues with your pitty of choice.
The German Shepherd dog,is a great dog breed.I own 2 right now,and a gsd mix.Agression and dominance issues between dogs are quite low in this breed. Most shepherds are great family pets and are very versitile in their training. That said these dogs have pretty good defensive drives and require A TON of exersize! Also,if you hate hair,DO NOT get a German shepherd dog. They shed fur in buckets.Healthwise,GSD are Prone to bloat/gastric tortion,hip/elbow dysplasia,Degenerative Myeolopathy, and eye disease.
So as i have said to you, given the breeds. Go with opposite genders, you should be fine with a less gamey pit.Make sure you take these dogs to training class, and work with them every day. You'll lessen the risks of dominance agression/unwanted pregnancy by altering your dogs, esspecially the female. You'll need to run these breeds out so make sure they have plenty of exersize.Good luck with your dogs!
There are a few things that people have to know to get their dogs get along when breed is an issue. There are a few occasion when dogs that live together pick up a fight. The factor is when the pup reaches maturity, if a fight erupts, the shepherd will be badly hurt in a blink of the eye. These fights are very rare when the pup grows along a dog of a different breed. Is up to the owner to get to known his dogs and keep peace in place. On the other hand, breeders and dog experts don't recommend this kind of mix under the same roof.
With proper Socialisation and upbringing they will be perfect.
I think a German Shepard would get along best with a collie.
He got his first dog, a German Shepard, back in like 1993 along with his first house. He got his second or third dog, Shorty the labrador, in 1999.
Yes they do, my young king Charles cavelier gets along th the German Shepard up the road, he's nearly 3 times the size of little poppy
super cute but its to hard to explain. see link to photos below. Mixed breeds do not produce puppies of any reliable appearance. Some will look more like German shepherds while others will have more of the greyhound characteristics. Probably the most desired puppies would be thinner and more streamlined than the German shepherd, with the high greyhound waist and elegant gait, along with the German Shepherd black-and-tan "saddle" color pattern and high intelligence.
i don't think so, German shepherd is a breed that makes the 2 best guard dog, so i recommended you if you buy a bulldog or a German sheperd, NEVER buy a German sheperd with a bulldog, they might tear each other into pieces. But it is up to you, that was just my warning, the choice is yours.
You would say: "Komm mit"
Is "you get along" a slang? I don't know how to translate in german properly
It all depends if the dog is mean or not . If they dog is nice , the yes the should get along .
Maybe but you have to introduce them properly, but overall its up to the dogs to get along.
I think. I have two female guinea pigs and they get along fine.
yes
english obviously is the must learned language for engineer. . .along with it german is the choice of preference
