Take it from someone who has raised many, many orphaned raccoons for release back to the wild for a local wildlife rescue group, raccoons do not make good pets. As babies they are quite cute and affectionate but as they grow their temperament can be very unpredictable and potentially dangerous. In many states and municipalities it is illegal to hold raccoons or any wildlife as pets.
No raccoon makes a good pet. They are wild animals and not domesticated. As they approach adult age the hormones kick in. The behavior of the raccoon becomes unpredictable. They can suddenly turn vicious and difficult to handle.

No it would die. You would probobly eat it or make a necklace!
a coyote would never make a good pet. it could slice your head off any second. they are pure savage. never trust a coyote.
If this is a wild raccoon, I would suggest you check the security of your home. Do you have an unlocked pet door? An open window? A door that is not well locked at night?
