40-1 is what i would run 50-1 is what AMSOIL recommends. Less smoke, cleaner plugs, great lubrication. Use what the manufacturer of the oil says for your application. That would be 50:1 with AMSOIL Dominator or Interceptor 2 cycle oil.
Not sure why you would want to use a different filter. The AMSOIL is the best on the market. If you like, provide the AMSOIL part # or the year/make/mode/engine size and I will likely be able to find a replacement

An Amsoil dealer would be primarily selling different types of synthetic motor oils. They may also have a decent amount of other basic accessories such as filters and fuel additives.
There are a number of places where one can locate an Amsoil dealer. Amsoil dealers are usually identified as such in Yellow Pages ads. As well, the Amsoil website has an online dealer locator that will find the closest locations to one's location.

Synthetic lubricants are recommended for all vehicles. I began using AMSOIL synthetic oil in my 1997 Chevy Venture at 50,000 miles, right after the manifold gasket went bad and leaked coolant into the engine. I have changed the AMSOIL once a year and now have 115,000 miles and it runs better than ever. I also have the AMSOIL synthetic ATF in the transmission and it also runs better than ever.
That would be 6 quarts sir! Also, I would use Amsoil if I were you, for the older cars it really makes a big difference in the overall performance. Feel free to go on over to Smokinvette.com and see how many other C4 owners use Amsoil!
AMSOIL lubricant and vehicle products are now available for direct sale from the manufacturer. AMSOIL's corporate web site offers their full line of products and online ordering.
