Yes the 1994 trans will physically bolt up to the jimmy engine. Unfortunately, the electronic transmission controls for the two vehicles are very different and are not compatible.
The speed sensor on a 1996 Pathfinder 3.3 automatic transmission is in the engine compartment. It is on the transfer case.
