Other than Man, very few predators living in the same area's occupied by black bears are capable of hunting and killing it. Larger black bears and other species of bear may do so when territories cross. Should the bear die from causes other than attack then many of the carrion and opportunistic feeders will eat the flesh. Man often hunts and eats the flesh of black bears.
