Although the jolt that coffee offers may give you moments of high energy which may seem like you are working on a higher metabolism, it mood altering effets of the caffeine in the coffee can be negative to your weight loss goals long term. Caffeine is a mood altering substance and with habitual use can have lasting effects on your hormones levels. The jittery feeling can keep you from getting a good night sleep which is essential for healthy weight loss. It is also a dieretic which can lead to dehydration if you are not replacing your fluid intake with water. These are some of the negative effects of a coffee diet, all of which are not condusive to a healthy lifestyle or weight loss program.
