Darker surfaces like soil absorb more than lighter ones like grass do.
The water in grass can evaporate in heat, reducing surface temperature. In addition, concrete is denser and retains heat better.
the earth has lots of mass
It contributes to society and modernisation but it has its drawbacks. AT least it is not more harmfull than other things such as pollution. Concrete is manmade stone, and in itself it does not harm the environment, but when grass and trees are eliminated to pour concrete, the process is never reversed. Once land is "developed," in this way, no one ever breaks up the concrete to let the grass and trees grow again. So the fault is not with the concrete, but with its overuse.
Grass has very little to do with global warming, unless you mean the grass grown for cattle pasture after the rainforests were cut down. Rainforests absorb tonnes of carbon dioxide from the air; grass not so much.
A parking lot, generally made of blacktop or concrete, would have more runoff. Grass, with earth below it, would absorb more water. Blacktop cannot be penetrated by water. Concrete can absorb water, but only a very little, especially as compared to a grassy field.
Probably concrete, but hard packed sand would do pretty well.
A basketball will bounce more on concrete because it is a flatter surface then carpet and grass
no the earth would not look nice because the elephants eat the grass and the grass will grow back.
Concrete. Grass will have more friction, and will slow down the ball.
Grass. This is because carpet (grass or soil) has more friction than a smooth surface like tile (concrete).
yes it does!! :)

The grass has more friction than the concrete, so the scooter doesn't go as fast
That realy depends no some things. If a perfect earth worm,as in no injuries, and approximately adult size, it moves faster on concrete. The reason is because they don't take any breaks as in bumping into ground. On concrete, they can build up more friction and reach higher speeds of about .119 mph than on grass.
Darker surfaces like soil absorb more than lighter ones like grass do.
carpets store more energy to the ball because it is under a hard floor. The floor is still their. on grass even thought is in the ground their is another layer which is the dirt. n the grass stores less energy.
