From what I know, limestone is alkali, and high pH water would not weather alkali things. For the case of limestone, it might even make the limestone bigger (think so).
sprinkle water on it
both limestone and sandstone are highly permeable to water. As there are often toxic substances which leak from landfill, it is necessary to collect water which falls on the heap. For this reason, permeable rocks like limestone and sandstone are not the ideal basement for a landfill, and may require significant infrastructure to prevent contamination of the water table below the landfill. They are ideal landfills if the need is there for drainage. Permeable rock has many uses in landfill. Landfill in areas that are naturally high in limestone or sandstone content would have no issues with a little more of either material in it.
The Rock Composition really affects the rate of weathering because different types of rocks will react differently to water and other substances. If you pour water on flat marble and leave it, the water would usually leave a mark or a stain on marble depending on what color the marble is. If the marble is black, the stain would have a high chance of being gray. If you pour water on a slab of limestone, the water would have a high chance of just passing through. After a few times of pouring, the slab of limestone would have like an indent if all of the ours were in the same place.
The limestone containing a fossil would be heaated to a sufficiently high temperature (about 1,800 centigrade).then the limestone would become powder and the fossil which is not as sensitive to heat as limestone would remain un damaged
A high pressure system always bodes fair weather.
The limestone turns into marble because of the tremendous pressures and high temperatures.
Marble is formed through the metamorphism of limestone. The fact that marble gleams white and reflects object, informs us that it has gone through the metamorphic stage, withstanding heat, water, wind, ice, etc. Through this change, limestone has become a smooth, glossy, fire resistant, and weather resistant marble.
The same type evident in all limestone caves, and in your country too!Chemical weathering - the limestone is dissolved by weakly acid water flowing through them. Some mechanical erosion by abrasion in high water, but this is a secondary mechanism.
dolomitic limestone is different from agricultural or hydrated limestone the difference is in the MgO content and hardness Dolomitic Limestone is harder than both and its MgO content is higher. The CaO is lower in Dolomitic limestone and High in the later.
A cool water Bath
Normally, High Pressure doesn't allow clouds to form. That means it would bring sunny weather.
