In order to replace an power supply on an HP Pavilion one would need to open up the computer and replace it. This can void one's warranty in almost all cases and is best left up to a qualified computer technician.

You would have to change engine mounts and bypass the EGR/computer/OBD II systems. The computer readings from the older engine to the computer would not match up because the engines are different, causing the engine not to run the way it should. You would also have to replace the transmission because the newer transmissions operate off the computer as well. I would suggest the 350 or 400.
