No, the UCT (United Commercial Travellers) was a fraternal organization formed in the 1880s for the support of travelling salesman. Today it provides co-operative insurance and other support services. Fraternal Organizations of this type were common in the late nineteenth century, including the Oddfellows, Elks and others. They are not connected to Freemasonry, but their ideas of structure and organization, as well as providing mutual social support, were modeled directly on the Masonic Lodges, which were established more than a century before them.
