i like cheese Yes but if would be freezing cold.
if the earth wasn't on tilted on it's axis there wouldn't be any seasons
If the Earth's axis were not tilted relative to the plane of the ecliptic, we would not have any "seasons" at all.
If Earth was not tilted on its axis, we would not experience seasons as we do now. This would likely lead to more uniform climate conditions worldwide. It could impact the distribution and behavior of many species, potentially affecting ecosystems and migration patterns.
Yes, gravity would still exist even if the Earth weren't tilted. Gravity is a fundamental force that arises from mass, and it acts between any two objects with mass regardless of their orientation or tilt. The Earth's tilt primarily affects seasonal climate and daylight patterns, but it does not influence the existence of gravity itself.
Tilted as compared to what? The only comparison that actually makes any difference is that the Earth's axis of rotation is "tilted" at about 23.5 degrees compared to the ecliptic, which is the plane of the Earth's orbit around the Sun. This "axial tilt" causes the seasons.
It is doubted that there would be any life on earth without the sun because it would be so cold with absolutely no heat at all.
where space is so cold the earth would freeze
That depends what exactly you mean by "opposite direction". Let's say that, viewing from a certain direction, instead of being inclined 23.5 degrees to the "left", it were inclined 23.5 degrees to the "right". In that case, the seasons would simply be 6 months out of phase - for example, Spring would start 6 months later.
If earth's axis were perpendicular to the plane of its orbit, there would be no summer or winter. The climate at any given latitude would be constant throughout the year.
Life outside Earth would be defined as extraterrestrial life, or what might be referred to as alien. It would include any organism, plant or animal, that is "alive."
The Earth belongs to all life on Earth. It would be arrogance for any group to claim ownership.
The sun affects the seasons because the earth's axis is tilted 23½º respect to the plane of its orbit around the sun. When the hemisphere where you live is tilted towards the sun the rays fall more directly so it's summer or spring but when it is tilted away the rays fall obliquely and are less strong so it's winter or Autumn. If the earth's axis were straight up and down, there would be only a minuscule variation in temperature at any given latitude, due only to the fact that the earth's orbit isn't exactly circular. But mostly there wouldn't be any seasons!
