You would expect it to be even, but it is not. Since there is energy in the cell, (which can also be heat) molecules will constantly be moving around the cell.

osmosis and diffusion would not stop because molecules need to be constantly moving in order to maintain equilibrium or in this case, evenly distributed.

What is a sentence with the words diffusion and osmosis?

Osmosis is the mechanism by which diffusionacross a cell membrane occurs when there is a concentration gradient from one side of the membrane to the other.Osmosis and Diffusion are extremely similar because they both involve molecules moving from a high to low concentration to reach equilibrium.Diffusion and osmosis are the same in that they both move down their gradients to cause substances to be evenly distributed.

Can diffusion occur without membrane?

Diffusion is the movement of molecules kineticly from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration until they are evenly distributed. Osmosis is the movement of molecules thru a membrane.

Is The substances of a solution are evenly distributed?

Of course they. If not, they would not be "in solution".If substances of a solution are evenly distributed then they have reached equilibrium.

What is in the particle spread out evenly?

It means they are distributed equally after some time. This is the phenomena of diffusion.

What characterizes a homogeous mixture?

the substances are evenly distributed throughout. (APEX) :)

What is a mixture which the individually substances are not evenly?

In a mixture, the individual substances are not even distributed. You can segregate these substances using physical techniques.

solutions.

What type of mixture are substances evenly distributed throughout the mixture?

They are homogeneous mixtures.

What is an evenly distributed uniform misture called?

This type of mixture is known as a homogeneous mixture. On the other hand, a mixture in which the particles are not distributed evenly is a heterogeneous mixture.

What mixture of two or more substances in which the molecules of the substance are evenly distributed?

It is a homogeneous mixture.
