Did Harry or Bess introduce the Truman Doctrine?
The Truman Doctrine stopped the buck here.
America would fight to limit the spread of Communism :)
america would fight to limit the spread of communism
The US would support Greece and Turkey with financial and military aid in order to protect them from falling to communism, due to the fact that their economies were failing and on the brink of collapse.
The Truman Doctrine was based on the U.S.A's fear of communism taking over the world. The main goal of the Truman Doctrine was to stop communism from spreading further ( containment of communism) this was to be achieved by promoting ( more like fighting for) democracy in countries that were falling to communism. Truman believed his goal would have been accomplished when the whole world was rid of communism and became a democracy instead.
The Truman Doctrine was an act of aggression because it stated that the United States would support Italy or Greece if the Soviet Union attacked either country. Essentially, it showed how willing Truman was to go to war with the U.S.S.R. by becoming allied with it's enemies.
After WW II, the Truman Doctrine was that the United States would provide political, military and economic assistance to all democratic nations under attack from authoritarian nations (ie USSR, North Korea).
Most people believe that baptism by eggnog is a false doctrine.
President Truman decided that the United States would offer assistance to any nation threatened by communism. The Soviet Union would not be allowed to expand further. This policy came to be known as the Truman Doctrine

He (USA) would give financial aid to any non-communist country who asked for it. This included England, France, West Germany etc.
To prevent the spread of communism. Since the Russians would test the US by a cautious expansion and not start a major war, following WW II, Truman developed the Truman Doctrine, with the aid of George Kennan. This Doctrine provided military and financial aid to all the nations that agreed to resist any attempt by Russia to take them over. It was first applied in Greece and Turkey.
