First of all, they are 2 different companies. Disney's Hollywood Studios seem to attract more visitors per year in a Disney Style. Universal Studios is usually crowded with teenagers and adults, since it includes a lot of Roller Coasters and scary rides. Disney's Hollywood Studios are more family-based, including Disney Junior Live on Stage, and character breakfasts with Special Agent Oso, Little Einsteins, Handy mandy, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
Deciding between Epcot and Hollywood Studios is a personal preference. Once park is not "better" than the other. They are very different!
Epcot offers to different worlds -- FutureWorld and the World Showcase. FutureWorld offers a glimpse into tomorrow and features most of Epcot's rides including Soarin', Mission Space and Test Track. The World Showcase features 11 pavilions representing different countries of the world. In each pavilion you can sample food and drink from the representative country as well as shop for items produced in that country. Is country is staffed by citizens of that location who come for year to experience a cultural exchange.
By contrast, Hollywood Studios is a step back into 1930's Hollywood. You will wal down Sunset Boulevard, pass the intersection of Hollywood and Vine, see Mann's Chinese Theatre and maybe dine at the Hollywood Brown Derby. Hollywood Studios features rides such as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Rollercoaster featuring Aerosmith. In keeping with the Hollywood theme, there are also tons of shows including Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, Fantasmic! and the American Idol Experience.
So, it's not a matter of which is "better" but which suits your tastes. Epcot is my favorite park while my husband prefers Hollywood Studios!
My opinion is that Universal Studios is the best theme park because I've been there a long time ago and me and my family had a great time there. They have the best rides and attractions. It's so much fun.
This is a subjective question, so I can only answer it for myself.
I've been to Universal Studios once; by mid-afternoon I had done everything there I was interested in doing and have never felt any pressing need to go back.
I have an annual pass to Disneyland.
In fairness, it was 20 years ago that I went to Universal; they've added some since then ... but they also removed the only two rides I wanted to ride more than once when I was there, so there's that.
They are both really good parks but universal studios is definitely better than Hollywood studios
:)
Depends how old you are but I have been to both and i would say Disneyland
Naturally it would boil down to your personal opinion but I think Universal Studios is more entertaining.

Your opinion really... if you like Terminators, cool stuff, big ass robots, etc. go to Universal Studios. If you like cute stuff, like Mickey Mouse, go to Disneyland. Personally, I prefer Univ. Studies... it has more rides. :D
Disneyland is not Vegas. There are no stars with permanent shows at Disneyland. You might be thinking of Universal Studios where Blue Man Group has a permanent show at their parks.
