A person who collects comic books is called a comic book collector or a comic book enthusiast.
Back when comics came out monthly and where called "comic magazines" every year the comic mag would come out with an annual. The annual would be around double the size of the usual comic, include guest stars or special information about the character, and cost double the usual magazine. They are almost always the best of the comic series such as the first Spider-man annual including the sinister six.
If by "unit," you mean the whole cartoon, from beginning to end, that you see in the newspaper, it would be called a "strip." If you mean each individual illustration within the strip, it would be a "panel," or less formally a "box." For example, a cartoon made up of three boxes would be a "three-panel strip."
The Internet Movie Database lists "The Vault" was released in 2005, to sub-par reviews. There is a new movie coming out eventually called The Vault, that is based on an Image comic miniseries. There is no informaiton available, beyond that of the Image comic book of the same name.

There is no age limit on purchasing comics. Some people think it immature, but to them I say that statically speaking a child who reads comics has a tendency to score higher on both written, and visual tests including the SAT, and an IQ test. As an adult I am still a fan of written word, and pride myself on my artistic achievements. So no, there is no age limit on buying comic books, if you go to your local comic-con I am sure you will see all ages of people buying comics, and all sects from the gas station clerk to the neurosurgeon.
