Hey I found this while scouring the net, I'll put it in the links related. The author says, in addressing your wedding envelopes, you should write the complete, formal name and address of your invited guests in the outer envelope of a double envelope set and on the outside of a single envelope. Only "Mr.", "Ms." and "Mrs." can be abbreviated; other than these, should be spelled out -abbreviations like "Ave." should be written as Avenue, "St." should be written as street and so on. It's pretty much reliable I think.
