First you should know you are not alone. Other people have the same thoughts and fears. Next I would suggest you handle the depression - depression is caused by a physical ailment - lack of serotonin. Just like a diabetic doesn't make enough insulin.

It can take awhile to find the right medication to help the depression - so hang in there while your doctor finds the right one or combination. Let a good therapist help you through these days and remember - once each day is over - you are one day closer to the depression ending. Once you deal with the depression you will find you have more energy to deal with the rest of your life, getting a handle on the depression will also help to relieve your fears.

It is very normal to fear drowning and suffocation, what you need to remember - you are not going to drown in the shower or suffocate in your sleep. Being fearful of things that can't happen are part of the illness. Find a good therapist to help you learn to live - in spite of your fears and compulsions. Talking to someone who understands where the fears are coming from - will help you get over them.

OCD and Bipolar disorder are difficult - but you can learn to live your life - and overcome the days that are hard. There are medications that will help you, but you have to take the medication and follow up with your doctor.
