Sure it can!! It depends on the individual, sometimes it might even come when you are arround 18 years old! It is normal it is coming up now...take care,it hurts!
No. I am 61 and just had a wisdom tooth removed. No problem.
It depends on how big the wisdom tooth is. If it is just a little one then no. And it could matter how narrow or big your throat is.
Wisdom teeth don't 'grow back', you only get one set. The dentist can see teeth that have not yet erupted through the gums in an X-ray years before they are ready to come through. They know for sure if they are coming back through or not. If you may have had a different tooth pulled than what you realized, and the wisdom tooth is just now coming in. Also, if your wisdom tooth was actually removed, sometimes little pieces break off during the extraction. If this happens, it could work its way back through your gum months, or even years, after the tooth itself is removed. It can cause irritation until it comes all the way out. There is nothing holding it in place, so your body will go ahead and just push it through. Your dentist can help get the piece out if it is really bothering you.
I am 59, and have a wisdom tooth coming through. The tooth is not impacted and growing in the right direction upwards. However, it is huge, twice as big as my other wisdom teeth. It started to grow (when I noticed) when I was 56. It will grow for about three days stop for maybe 45 to 60 days then grow for another three days. Sometimes it hurts more than other. I haven't been to the dentist, just allowing nature to take it's course.
It is ok that you only have one wisdom tooth it is not uncommon... No big deal just not as smart as the average person!.. (just kidding)-dental humor...The unknown is, why are we born with wisdom teeth and then when we are older they have to be removed. makes you think what was God plan on that...Aunt Laura
u got your wisdom teeth pulled out dummy
We don't !... that's just an old wives tale !
My wisdom tooth is erupting I can see half of the tooth, the other half is still behind gum and I to have pain and swelling, but no sign of infection. The tooth is straight, no decay and I am just riding out the pain taking paracetamol plus, aspirin or ibuprofen and codein
When a wisdom tooth is extracted, the anesthesia may take time to wear out. This is why someone may feel drowsy hours after the extraction. It is a good idea to just take a short nap.
yes you can just go to your dentist and get your teeth checked
The short answer is yes, it could potentially be something serious. If a tooth's root has partially resorbed or disappeared it could be a sign of some underlying pathology. That's not always the case, but its always better to be safe than sorry and let oral surgeon take a look and do a biopsy of the area if he deems necessary.
I'm not sure, but I wouldn't do it just in case.
