Tylenol, Aspirin, Naproxen (Aleve in America), ibuprofen, ketorolac, (basically any NSAID), darvocet, hydrocodone (in most circumstances), Oxycodone, dilaudid, morphine, fentanyl, meperidine, methadone, the list goes on.
Actually codeine is a pretty crappy pain reliever anyway, you're not missing much. You'd probably get better results from ketorolac, ibuprofen or Naproxen even though they are available over the counter. Ahh, but the power of suggestion is strong though isn't it?
Most of these medications are codeine derivatives and would cause a person allergic to codeine to have a reaction. please contact a doctor. -submitted by your friendly pharmacist
many different things can happen if allergic to codeine
itching ,vomiting, stomach upset, hot/cold flashes, resperitory depression,,resperitory failure, thats just to name a few things i know about but everyone is different. some people can be allergic and still take the medicine but have to keep lower doses and supervision.
Obviously you should consult your medical adviser, but mine gave me a painkiller called Motifene or diclofenac sodium, plus a "stomach liner" which I took first thing in the morning before taking the painkiller - and they worked great for me. please check with Doctor first
no because they are both made out of opiates
Any of the Nsaids nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs labeled without codeine would work for mild to moderate pain. Things like Ibuprofen and available in prescription strengths.
There are many other pain medicines. Since codeine requires a prescription anyway, make sure your doctor knows of your allergy, and he or she will give you something else.
YES!! I'm allergic to codeine, morphine, fentanyl, or anything else with the, "eine" in the end of the name. So my Doctor prescribed Opana for me. It does not have any kind of morphine or it's cousins drug in it. Hope this helps. Robin
Yeah of course, real ecstasy doesn't have morphine in it!
Tramadol and Tylenol (apap) are both non-narcotic pain relievers. They are not related to codeine. You should be fine.
your probably just allergic to the codeine in the Tylenol 3's
im allergic to morphine and even tho i hydrocodone(vicodin) and the sorts metabolize into morphine in the liver i can still take it or oxycodone(percocet) also the medicine hydromophone ( dilaudid) is good for heavy pain and is what hospitals give to patients allergic to morphine.
Morphine can be taken IV, IM or orally. Codeine is taken orally. If not time release pills such as morphine comes in, which would be twice a day. They both usually say T tab po 4-6 hrs prn pain. Meaning ..... Take one tablet by mouth as need for pain.
can i take clindamycin if im allergic to ceclor
If you have an allergy to any drug/medication you should seek advice only from a qualified medical source. To rely on "heresay" is to possibly risk your life.
Im allergic to bactrim and ceclor im not sure if it is because of the same thing in them or not but yeah.
Some steroids and pain meds are prescibed to work together. In a situation I just been through I was given both.Once the steriod got into the system I was able to back off the pain med.due to the steroids taking away the swelling and imflamation.Prolonged use of both were never intended. The steroids was given in a step down stages.
he is allergic to nuts im greta wingrove
Yes. Clindamycin is not a penicillin-like antibiotic, so it may be used if allergic to penicillin. However, this does not mean you cannot be allergic to this drug also.
