this could be to do with ur NAT settings on ur wifi router. before u click what type of game u want to join there will be a thing saying nat: strict or nat: open. if it is strict u need to go into ur wifi hub and change the settings.

As I have only played Modern Warfare 2 on the PC I can only answer for that. Modern Warfare 2 does not have the option to have dedicated servers. This means that in each online game one of the players is automatically selected to be the server. This makes it impossible for a map other than one of the original ones to be hosted on a server.

Im a huge fan on the Call of Duty Series especially Call of Duty 4 Modern warfare, but i say Modern Warfare is a good game that does live up to some of the hype about it, but from my point of view i do see it as an overrated game, the graphics aren't even that different from the first modern warfare its just an extra few guns and game modes that they have take the dedicated server away. Also many things such as bullet lag, care package glitch and javelin glitch which were never tested before released, and had to be patched after release.
