Regrets- the 027 was the improved version of the 27, had a walnut stock that was more shaped than the flat board stock of the 27. See the link below for some information and photos of the rifles. These were boy's rifles (now there is a politically incorrect term!) and are frequently found with broken or missing stocks. They were in production from 1908 to around WW II. My usual parts source has none available. Your best bet may be to get a block of seasoned walnut, take your cue from the photos, and start carving. I am truly sorry- those were very interesting little rifles.

remove the buttplate screws, and the buttplate. In the large round hole in the stock is the stock bolt. That is unscrewed to remove the stock from the rifle.

Yes, Remington made a "Apache" model of the Nylon 66 .22 caliber rifle. It had a black nylon stock with a chrome plated barrel & receiver. It was a very nice looking rifle.
