If there are contaminants in the oil, the system will need to be flushed.
Refrigerant is added to a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am by removing the cover on the low pressure coolant line and attaching a can of refrigerant. The valve on the can is then opened and the system will automatically pull the refrigerant in.
If you are removing the refrigerant from your cars A/C system you need to take it to a certified mechanic to do so. It is against the law to vent the refrigerant into the air.
Refrigerant compaticilty is about suiting the refrigerant to your refrigerant system. Every cooling system has refrigerant in it which depends on the type of system you use. If the refrigerant not matches with your system, it wont work. This is refrigerant compatibility.
Removing as much moisture from the system as possible.............
Removing as much moisture from the system as possible.............
There isn't an "AC drain line". Refrigerant is recovered through the schrader valve on the high pressure side. Servicing an AC system is not a "do-it-yourself" task, especially when it comes to recovering, handling, and storing refrigerant.
Less refrigerant will be contained in the oil at the higher temperature
To endure that the ONLY gas in the system is refrigerant.
Liquid refrigerant charging of a system is normally accomplished in the liquid line. For example, when a system is out of refrigerant, liquid refrigerant can be charged into the king valve on the liquid line or receiver.
Before removing the compressor from a refrigerator or other appliances, you must 'reclaim' the refrigerant. This is done by connecting a compressor-pump on the access connection and pumping the refrigerant into an approved storage tank. once the refrigerant is out of the system, you crimp & cut the lines going into the compressor. There will be compressor lube in the compressor; don't spill it or let it leak out.
