Any time there is a line where the positive line should be, no matter how faint, is regarded as a positive result. It can be faint because the hCG levels are very low if taken very early in pregnancy or if the baby is not producing adequate levels.

∙ 13y agoMore than likely you're pregnant. However either your just newly pregnant and the the hcg hormone maybe rather low as of yet. Wait 1 - 2 weeks and retest or go to the docs for a blood test.

Well, it depends if you have two faint lines then yes you are pregnant. HCG levels in your system is not as high. This situation happened to me before in 2004. I had to take 6 pregnancy tests to be sure cause they were so faint. I went to the clinic and they did the pregnancy tests and it came out faint, but I was pregnant.
