If I were you I would either get it another bird to play with or you can spend more time with it. Most of the time I would recommend that you find another bird for him/her. But if you can't afford another bird, then you will have to spend more time with him/her.
My parakeet who died recently on July 25, 2011 around 5:00 in the evening died. I cried a lot...but does it help.....nope. Cryings okay, but don't think it will help. We buried her in our garden with many flowers. She had given birth to 2 females and mated with two boys. Don't pity your parakeet when he/she dies..... pity the living. If your parakeet died with pain, you should be relieved that their out of pain, but sad she's gone,if she died old, she lived a happy long life and left for death like a friend. Anything else......its ok to mourn for them but it wont help. You should feel aomewhat happy about it
Yes it can. I used to have two parakeets and two dogs. One parakeet died for some odd reason, and later on, so did the other. But while they were alive they got along just fine with my dogs. :]
It's possible, but most likely no. If your other hamster died, then play with it, and keep it happy and not lonely. Or you can clean out the cage, and then buy another hamster for her/him to play with. Then she will be happy, and the other one she would forget about. It's possible, but most likely no. if your parakeets egg dont hatch in about two weeks, it might mean that your baby parakeet has died or has gone rotten, or could have suffocated

he was lonely after grandma died
no his gf died
Yes. To keep your bird from dying, you need to add another bird. Feed them well. Water them. Give them a bath with a spray bottle. Let them sleep at a certain time. Unless the bird raised is a hand fed pet. In this case, having two birds may harm your bonding with him, and they will prefer each other over you. If you have hand-fed pet bird, playing with him and spending time with him is a good way to prevent loneliness.
You may be thinking of "Eleanor Rigby", who was hardly a girl, but an older lady who'd had a lonely life. (The other person in the song, Father McKenzie, was lonely also, but the two never met in life; he conducted her funeral service, which nobody attended.)
spend alot of time with it
Parakeet birds can catch cold very easily with a drafty window or cold room. That could be why your bird died. I'm sorry you lost your bird.
