The chances of getting pregnant start to drop quite rapidly after 40 but if you are still having regular periods pregnancy is a possibility so you still need to use contraception. Something like the intra-uterine contraceptive device (the coil) work well for older women as then you will know when you stop menstruating. If you are under 50 two years without a period means you are past menopause. For over 50s you are considered safe if you have not menstruated for one year.
The chances of conceiving naturally decrease with age. However it is possible to conceive naturally at this age but chances are slim.
i have the same question...i am 31 and he is 47 (and a heavy smoker)...i will keep looking to see what comes up.
Yes you can. but, harder for a woman at 47 to get pregnant
I have heard that it is harder for older women to get pregnant. It depends on if you have gone through menopause yet. I have also heard that older womens chances of having twins increases by about 5% and I have heard this on documentaries and from lots of people. Yes, what makes you think a women at 47 or older cannot get pregnant? If a women still has her monthlly menstrual cycle, then she can get pregnant..but sometimes there are complications at birth.
Ask your doctor
You dont !!!!!!!!!!!
If you are pre-menopausal (menstruation/your period has not stopped), then it is possible to become pregnant.
i dont have 47 cents ever i always have a dollar
if you are pregnant and you are 47 none!!!!!!
WITHDRAWAL IS NOT A METHOD OF CONTRACEPTION. Use proper contraception. Planned Parenthood or similar will help you find the best method. Think about how a baby would impact your life at your age, and you are at much higher risk of having a child with Down's syndrome or similar at 47. The age of your lover makes no difference to your chances of conception but at the age of 47 you are significantly less likely to conceive than a younger woman. Are you having signs of menopause yet?
Isn't that WHY you are taking Clomid? Women take Clomid to try and get pregnant. According to my conversations with my doctor, you are NOT too old at age 47 to get pregnant. If your eggs are still viable (in good condition) then, you can get pregnant. I hope you were taking Clomid to try and conceive, if not, then why?
