You go 7 months at a time without a period after having a baby and trying to conceive for almost 1 and a half yrs how likely is it to conceive and what could be causing a missed period for this long?

Please check with your doctor. You may just need to take a hormone for a short while which is not uncommon. My daughter went 3 years without a period after her last baby. She even took hormones without success. Since she was having some back problems she went to a chiropractor for an adjustment and low and behold her period started that same week. I also took hormones after three of my children were born to help start my period again. It worked each time after only a couple of weeks. Your doctor can check your hormones easily with a simple blood test. I needed a male hormone and I didn't grow a beard, so don't worry! See your doctor and get the blood test, OK
