I would take it to a repair shop and have them check it out. If indeed the quad driver is defective you will have to replace the computor.
The quad module is in the computer.....Most likely the problem is one of the sensors it controls....Most common is cooling fan relay or motor OR EGR solenoid, or Evap purge solenooid
The idle is controlled by the powertrain control module ( computer )
You can change the personal entry code , but to change the factory code you have to change the RAP module and get new remotes ( as far as I know )
If the computer is invovled, it is a dealer install only.
The airbag module in most Mitsubishi vehicles is located behind the steering wheel for the driver and behind the dashboard for the passenger. They can be replaced by disassembling the ECU brackets.
sounds like we are having the same type of issue, I replaced ignition Module and coil pack, and still no spark the last thing to change is the Computer.
Don't know if they have one. Now use "body computer" for that function. If there is one, its above the driver's feet up under the dash. My 2005 doesn't have one I found out, not sure when they made the change.
You can not change the master code yourseft. Only the dealer can.
the dealer attaches a little computer to it and does it for you...
You would have to change the fuel and ignition systems over to a non computer system.
I assume that you are reffering to the Powertrain Control Module (12A650). This is located on the firewall down from the passenger side windshield wiper. You can see the 104 pin connector comming out of it. I think I need the location of the chassis computer. I bought the car used and it has the keyless entry number pad on the drivers door. The manual says that if I know the factory code I can use it to open the doors, or I can change the code. I have no idea what code is in the computer, but the manual says the factory code is taped to the "computer module". Any Help on where this module is located?
If you change the RAP module ( which is located in the storage compartment where your tire jack is ) that will have a different factory code ( I believe you have to get new remotes also )
