Possibly not all the way, but they would definitely start to knit shut, and when you re-put the jewelry in, you will just cause more trauma---which could lead to infection and trouble healing.
I am sure that your piercer told you not to remove/change the jewelry for x amount of weeks, so you're talking about doing something that isn't smart/safe or good for the piercing. Why would you want to do this? You really shouldn't. Piercings are awesome and everything, but they literally are a piece of metal stabbed into and left in your body. Your body's task (healing, and while allowing a piece of metal to remain in your body) is hard enough; don't make this even harder for your body.
PS: If you had them pierced with a gun, well, then you're in a lot of trouble already, since that just rips your flesh all up! (http://www.homiegfunk.com/gunssuck.htm) You definitely don't need to contribute MORE to their trauma.
I would think you could if you change it immediately but don't keep changing them it might cause an infection, keep cleaning them regularly but its best if you keep the original one in until a clear hole is formed. I would strongly suggest leaving the original ones in until it is ok to change them trust me its not worth the risk!
It depends on the type of piercing and the size of the piercing. If it's a small gauge it will close within a few days, larger gauge a weeks. Just wash the piercing remove the jewellery and clean the area when bathing normally. It will close when it feels like it, you just need to leave it alone.
Buy self-piercing earrings. These are like hoop earrings except they have a sharp point. You push the earring together a little each day. In a few days you'll be pierced. You have to wash the area with alcohol every day to make sure it doesn't get infected. After the piercing heals you can insert other earrings.
Got my Monroe pierced a couple days ago the swelling will go down then come back a few hours later the go back down again, is that normal ?
There is no mention of Jesus wearing earrings in the Bible. Earrings were not common for men in Jewish culture during that time, so it is unlikely that Jesus wore them.
if you don't find a place you can do it yourself. i have both ears pierced double, and snakebites and i did that all myself. what i did was, obviously numb it up with some ice, put neosporin on your ear, get an apple or anything really, once i used a folded wristband, and stick it behind your ear. get a safety pin and stick it through. then put more neosporin all around the hole and the safety pin. then close the safety pin. and keep putting neosporin on it every few hours. and leave the safety pin in for a couple days. then put earrings in. its easy.
If you have had it over two years then, it should take around a week to about three weeks to close up.. I had mine for about 9 days which sucks, but it closed within three days..
That depends on your body really. So don't leave the jewelry out unless you accept the risk that the piercing might close. You could always try a retainer
There are 24 hours in a day and night (this is actually an approximation but it is close enough that we all use it). Thus 144 hours = 144/24 = 6 days and nights.
It means it's infected!
Most likely, yes. They're really fresh so they'll probably close with hours. Don't take them out unless you're willing to risk them closing. You shouldnt even remove them until the 6 week mark.
it can take from only an hour or two or a few days. when you first pierce it, you cant take it out for more than an hour. i had mine pierced for over a year now and i can probably leave it out for a week and it will still stay pierced.
Its different for everyone. Some people can have piercings for years and have them close up in a few hours. But then again, yours may not close that quickly. If you have to take them out for work then just wear clear retainers in them.
