my car smells like i have a petrol leak when i turn it on but have no leak underneath the car
Possibly a gas leak.
Depends on the smell. if it smells sweet, like antifreeze, then it is probably a leak in the heater core. This is a small radiator that runs from the main radiator and makes hot air for the heater. If it smells like gasoline, may be a gas leak. Do not drive the car, get it fixed by a professional. If it smells like smoke, it may be an oil leak. get it checked.
There must be a gas leak. Contact your gas supplier IMMEDIATELY, if the smell is in a house. If it is in a car, have your mechanic check for a leak.
If it smells like oil burning you probably have an oil leak. If it smells like rubber then have each tire inspected for wear or rubbing. If it smells sweet then you have a coolant leak. If the sweet smell is coming from the exhaust, you have a blown head gasket. If the smell is something you cannot recognize, then crawl under the vehicle and inspect the exhaust system for a foreign object that has gotten stuck on the exhaust system. Plastic bag stuck there is a common problem that will emit a weird smell.
if you smell gas but cannot find the leak or source immediately get everyone out the house and go to the neighbors. call the police and then they will handle it from there
most likely you need to replace te heater core.generally i if the leak is on engine you wont smell it in the car
The gas you use is naturally odourless. Gas companies add this smell so you you know when there's a gas leak.
Natural gas is colorless and odorless. The reason natural gas smells is because a smell is added to it before it is delivered to the consumer. The reason for the added smell is to draw awareness to a gas leak.
The rubbing alcohol smell can indicate a Freon leak. The smell can also indicate a plugged drain tube. There is natural condensation that needs to drain away from the air conditioning compressor.
Its your differential or transer case fluid. That is how it smells. Check for a leak.
Maybe a head gasket leak they're hard to see and can cause coolant leakge and you might smell the coolant in the car
