sounds more like transmission slipping diff slipping would cause loud grinding or howling noise
put fluid in differential or have someone replace your syncros if its a manual
Traction control seeks to reduce or eliminate tire slippage while accelerating. ABS (Antilock braking system) seeks to reduce or eliminate tire slippage while braking.
Trains run on rails which have very gently curves. There is, therefore, little slippage in the wheel on the inside rail.
Excessive converter clutch slippage, either a bad solenoid or converter needs to be replaced. I would do both.

Although, I'm not sure of this differential I believe you are experiencing slippage in your limited slip clutches.
It's possible but VERY unlikely. If the differential losses all it's fluid, it is possible for it jam up, but there are other points of failure along the way besides the transmission. even if the transmission is suddenly stopped, it should not cause any permanent damage unless there is a LOT of torque involved.
