Yes you could play that game but depending on the game specs for other things like CPU etc you may or not be able to run it without issues.

Can laptop graphics memory be converted to dedicated memory from shared memory of RAM?

dedicated memory is memory which is only connected to the GPU. changing shared memory to dedicated memory would involve rewiring the laptop, which would be far more expensive and far more effort than buying dozens of laptops with dedicated memory.

What is the difference between dedicated and shared graphics?

Some graphics cards have memory on board the card itself. Others rely on the memory chips on the system board for memory , thus sharing memory. Suppose a PC has a specification of 256MB of memory and 64MB shared graphics. The memory available for your operating system and applications will be 192MB. If a PC had the same specifications but the 64MB were dedicated, the 64MB required to run the card would use this memory, leaving the full 256MB for your operating system and applications. In short, shared = compromise, dedicated = better.

If you have 64 mb of dedicated memory in your PC and shared graphics memory of 223 mb means total graphics memory of 287 mb can you play a game which requires 256 mb graphics memory?

It should work. You may need to go to the game options and set the video settings to minimal, but it should still work.

Can your graphics card access extra memory from your computer?

Yes, this is called shared memory. But it isn't useful, its mostly a gimmick because the memory speed is much slower than a graphics card with dedicated memory.

Is Dedicated graphics best?

which is the best graphic system shared or dedicated. which is the best graphic system shared or dedicated.

What is the advantage of a dedicated graphics card versus a shared graphics card?

Is dedicated video memory still better than a significantly bigger shared video memory Like the Acer AS5530-5041 with 256 dedicated AND 640 shared versus the Acer AS7520-5181 with 1792 shared only?

Yes, dedicated memory is always better then shared (or integrated) edit answer after editing the question: but what is the shared memory option is much bigger than the dedicated option? (See edited question)

Is a small dedicated video memory 256 plus 640 shared better than large shared 1792 only?

yes as long is dedicated, is better

How do you add memory to a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS that has 512MB already but a limit of 768MB?

There is no way to upgrade the memory on a graphics card. The "limit" of memory is the maximum amount of shared video memory that the graphics card will occupy in the system's RAM. The best way to get better graphics performance in this situation is to buy a similar NVIDIA card and SLI them together.

How do you increase the video memory dedicated for a game from 64mb to 128 mb?

you can't or you can get more ram but it only increases shared memory video!

What is dedicated video memory card?

One that is used only for the video, rather than a chunk of the main memory which is shared between various tasks.

What is video memory on your computer?

Video memory is the RAM in your machine that is used exclusively for your graphics hardware. This can be both the RAM chips built into the graphics chipset its self, or it can be the RAM that is optionally "carved out" from the system memory. The latter is called "shared video memory" although it isn't really sharing as the graphics hardware uses it exclusively.
