Well I don't completely understand your question but i will try to help you out. If you are driving down the highway at lets say 70 MPH. You feel like you are slowing down a bit so you really dig into the gas pedal. You will find that it takes about two seconds until you get up and go. That's not due to bad engine response but it's due to the turbo charger. It's referred to as turbo lag. The turbo might be sitting at 5 psi while your driving down the highway but if you want to get up to lest say 85 MPH and really push the pedal the turbo has to spool up to get you that boost. Watch your turbo gauge sometimes to see what psi your at.

Now you might also notice that as your cursing you sort of loose some power it seems like. Well as I said before it's probably due to the turbo. As your cursing along the turbo will gradually loose some psi. Your best bet is to use the curse control feature. It will keep the engine operating at the correct RPM and the turbo at a constant psi, and it will optimize your fuel economy.

Hope this helps. If you have any questions about the Ford Super Duty trucks just e-mail me at mazsecond@hotmail.com.
