This is probably a Stevens model 520. What is your question?
Hi, a good place to check is: http://members.aol.com/OldTownsta.This place deals in antique & vintage firearms, Old Town Station Ltd.Good luck!
The receiver is the frame of a firearm- in modern firearms, it is the part that the barrel connects to. Antique firearms, such as muzzle loading rifles, did not have a receiver- only the lock, stock, and barrel. (Yes, that is where the expression came from) On a modern firearm, if it has a serial number, it is stamped on the receiver. By US law, a receiver IS a firearm- everything else is parts.
Look under Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Company. Their hammerless revolver was sold under several trade names, including US Revolver Co. You can probably find one for sale on one of the online auction sites.
I'm fortunate my old Detroit Automatic is only missing a graphite balance insert. I can make that. I would be interested, though.
We cant find one for you here. Browning Arms Co never made a shotgun with damascus barrels as far as we know. Its possible that a gun was made with those barrels built on one of Brownings patents.
My only reference to Bauer is a modern handgun maker, that produced copies of the Baby Browning .25 Auto in the period 1972-1984.
any part of a gun WITHOUT a receiver is not considereda gun
Anywhere metal, usually along barrell or near receiver, it varies a lot between makers. If very old, MAY not have one at all.
Antique is worth more money.
much has to do with overall condition to include the bore. then WHO made it and gauge (caliber) and the serial number if any. information is usually on top of barrel or side of receiver.............
