It might be because your car or truck is a Chevy "GMC".... See all of GM cars are junk.... This is why the company is in a hole that are president should have left them there.... They over charge to much, way to much for parts that you get from auto parts stores for way way way less.. and must likely the part is made else where other then our country and that part seems to do the job right with out falling apart like American junk......Sorry this is not a question.. Just trying to point out to us stupid Americas that we buy our own junk and pay high prices to start back at step one.......
That means that rad. coolant is leaking into the combustion part of the engine, and burning, thus white smoke. Most likely the head gasket has to be replaced, and have the head checked for cracks also.
Check your exhaust manifold. Cummins uses one that shrinks and then cracks. If exhaust is getting out before it reaches the turbocharger, you'll get low boost.

Yes, a prolonged exhaust leak will eventually cause problems with your cylinder head. The leaking exhaust is very hot and you can cause small cracks in the head if you don't repair the problem promptly. If you can hear the exhaust leaking, it may already be too late! Get it checked out soon!
do you have water in oil ? it will look like there's milk deposits on dip stick. 2 .look at spark plugs to see if calcium looking deposits are on striker area, when extracted. 3 is large amount's of water coming out of exhaust. The only 100% sure way to know if you do not see a visible crack is to take it to a machine shop and have it inspected. They will visually check it, and may magnetically check it or use a dye to find any cracks. An internal crack is very hard to find.
if the noise comes from the front end while you rev the engine, and not alot of sound comes from the tailpipe, check the exhaust from the front back for cracks or breaks. it sounds like an exhaust leak to me.
because people that was a dum azz said so
Check for cracks in the exhaust manifold - Air pulled in can lean the exhaust and cause the oxygen sensor to give false readings
