no! iv got mine done, had it for 3 months now and i just changed the earring today :), you WONT go blind, no idea where this came from?!

no. i got mine pierced with a hoop and then like three weeks after i got it i put a bar in it and it was fine. it doesnt really make a difference as long as its meant for you belly button

Never worry, it's totally normal. Your ears are somewhat adapting to you piercing since the 'metal' or the earring is a foreign bypasser. If the swelling lasts more that a week, that's weird. (:
