Absolutely. Especially if you are responsible and walk or excersice your Dane in the morning and evening. Danes are dogs who will wait for their owner, while sleeping or until he/she returns home. I lived in a 400 sq ft studio with myself, my love, and our Great Dane. He loved it, as he could see me no matter where I was in the apartment. We later moved to a large house with a large yard and our Dane would become restless and follow me from room to room just to be near me. He also would not stay in the back yard unless his humans were there with him.
Danes are wonderful dogs and are most content being right next to you.
Great Danes are just as happy to be in an apartment as they are in a yard outside.
