I realize you may want to resolve things or smooth things over but at this point with all the circumstances surrounding your past relationship it would be in your best interest to just let things be, let him be, let go and move on - learn from this relationship as to hopefully not repeat things in the future. Trying to talk about things let alone anything it seems will just begin an argument of sort and open things up again that should just left be - not all people are compatible and that is just something that has to be accepted.
