I just bought a used 190E and had this radio problem at least 3 times in the past week. Just turn the radio on and use the station buttons and put in the code. Radio will come on at once. Ken Jones
Locate transmission dipstick. The dipstick tube is the fill tube.
who says you can't? I replaced the stereo myself on my 93 ford explorer with an aftermarket stereo with no problem.
the stereo code is for when car battery is disconnected from car and radio locks up the code has to be put in again the number is located behind glovebox in 1995 model
i need to know where to put the vin code into the clarion stereo for the peugoet 307?
You insert the 5 digit code by pressing the radio preset buttons.
cant put in security code on stereo as message only says wait have tried for 2 weeks still says wait on screen
Look at http://www.radio-code.co.uk/clarion-c181.html It's not a DIYj ob
I have a 1995 Excel, found mine at the back of the stereo. Yeah i know...strangest place to put it but that's where it is. Should be a 4 digit code I don't know if this will help but I had to find the stereo code for a ford once and ended up having to ring head office with the vin number of the car to get it. That is assuming of course that the stereo is factory installed. Otherwise check anything that was in the car when you bought it as someone could have written it on a manual or such. Hope it helps.
5 litres
You don't.
How to improve 1986 mb 190e 2.3 engine? FOR SPEED?WHAT OTHER SIZE ENGINE CAN I PUT IN THIS CAR? LARGER 6V OR A 8V OR A 2.8 24V (193 OR 270)
I have the same problem. But you need to leave the radio on for an hour before you can try to put the code in again. Make sure your pushing the buttons in completely also. You need to enter the code two times in a row correctly too. You will get it.
