no u hav 2 change gears when the car is on
its time to get a new car if this is the case
With the car off, turn the key to the run position. Press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times . The car will chime and the Change Oil light will turn off.
yes
turn the key to the "on" position, do not start the car and tap the gas pedal 3 consecutive times. After that is complete turn the car off and then turn it on again.
turn it off.
It is necessary to let off the gas in order to change gears on a F350 Ford because the transmission will not allow it to change gears unless you do.
Best off to have the job done at a good shop. It all has to be adjusted and shimmed. If the car has say 290's in the back, then 343's would be good, but then, how much fuel would you really save? The crown as is, gets fairly good milage for the size of car. The cost to change the gears is around 300 to 500 bucks. The lower the gears the harder to take off, but with a set of higher gears, the car will take off easier, thus saving fuel that way. Personally, I don't think you will save what you really want to save.
You first put the car into either neutral or park (this will depend on whether the car is an automatic or stick (manual)), and then you start the car again. That's it! Good luck.
No, it's rated 18 for a reason.
A malfunction has been detected , have it checked out
if vehicle is automatic, it will automatically select the gear you need you do not need to turn od off unless it is trying to change gears to often If the vehicle is changing gears (in and out of O.D.) a lot, which it would be most of the time on the highway towing a horse trailer especially on hilly terrain, then you are better off turning the O.D. switch off to improve the life of your transmission.
I have a 2002 Grand Am SE- after I change the oil:) I have to turn ingition to on, but not all the way, just turn the electricity on in the car. press and release the gas pedal 5 times in a slow motion with a half second delay in between puishes., then turn off the car and turn it back on just like you would be to drive it. :)
My car does NOT do that.
